Children’s Privacy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. Not in effect until launch.
Kids love to animate. Here’s how we keep their information safe — and how parents stay in charge.
1. For parents, in short
- Many Diamond Animator users are kids and teens. We follow the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), including the updated COPPA Rule (amended in 2025).
- A child under 13 can only use Diamond Animator after a parent or guardian gives verifiable consent. The parent creates the account and pays.
- We collect only what the app needs to work. We don’t sell children’s data and don’t use it for targeted ads.
- You can review your child’s information, have it deleted, or stop further collection at any time.
2. How parental consent works
- The parent or guardian creates the account using the parent’s own email address.
- We send the parent this notice and ask for consent before the child’s information is collected.
- The parent gives verifiable consent using a method the COPPA Rule accepts — for example, by completing a payment with a credit or debit card in the parent’s name. [exact consent method(s) — to be confirmed after legal review]
- The parent pays for the subscription. Children cannot buy plans themselves.
If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13 without a parent’s consent, we will delete it quickly. If you think this happened, email [email protected].
3. What we collect from children
- The projects your child makes: drawings, stick figures, animations and exported videos.
- Messages to the AI Animator and Help Assistant, and the replies.
- AI credit usage and basic account settings.
- Technical data needed to keep the app working and secure (such as device type, IP address and error logs).
4. How we use it — and who sees it
We use children’s information only to run Diamond Animator for them: saving projects, answering AI messages, exporting videos, keeping the service safe, and supporting the parent’s account.
We share it only with the service providers we need to run the app, who must protect it:
- Supabase (database and file storage) and Vercel (app hosting);
- OpenAI, which processes AI messages to produce replies — we do not use children’s content to train AI models;
- Stripe (the parent’s payment) and Resend (emails to the parent).
We do not sell children’s information, we do not disclose it to third parties for advertising, and there is no public profile or chat with other users in the app. Advertising tags (Meta Pixel, Google Ads) are only used on our marketing website, only after cookie consent, and never to target children.
5. Your rights as a parent
At any time, you can:
- review the personal information we have about your child;
- have it deleted, including closing the account;
- refuse further collection or use of your child’s information;
- agree to us collecting and using your child’s information while still saying no to sharing it with third parties beyond what the app needs to work.
Email [email protected] from the parent email address on the account. We will check that you are the parent before we act, and respond within a reasonable time.
6. How long we keep it
We keep a child’s information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, and delete it when it is no longer needed or when a parent asks. Our written data retention policy: [retention periods for children’s data — to be added].
7. Keeping it safe
We keep a written security program for children’s information, use trusted providers with encrypted connections, and limit who on our side can access it. [details of the information security program — to be added]
8. Teens (13–17)
Teens may use Diamond Animator with a parent or guardian’s permission, and the parent handles payment. The Privacy Policy applies to teen accounts.
